Our Present to You: The Living Well Holiday Survival Guide
Autistic folks often face a number of challenges during the holiday season.
From increased social interactions with friends, family, and total strangers… to sensory overload from the colorful lights and decorations, scents, activity… to maintaining the routines and eating habits that keep us healthy… navigating the last weeks of the calendar year can test even the most resilient among us.
Fortunately, we can do something about it.
Auptima Press, a brand new neurodivergent-run publishing company dedicated to publishing resources which help adults on the autism spectrum to live happier, healthier lives.
This holiday season, as a gift to our amazing autistic community, we’ve created a Living Well Holiday Survival Guide to help our community through the ups and downs of the season.
The guide includes blog posts featuring vignettes about some of the biggest challenges we face, along with in-depth discussions of the issues, and worksheets to help people better understand their own situations.
We also have a Holiday Survival Stress Gauge tool, an interactive web-based “wizard” that measures the stress levels during the holidays.
We invite you to explore and make use of these resources – and let us know what you think!
You can let us know what you think by adding your comments. You can also contact us with feedback.
