Unhealthy expectations from others (eating, drinking, rituals, activities)

Many of us on the autism spectrum have very specific dietary restrictions. We may be sensitive to gluten, lactose, or textures of foods. It can be challenging enough to manage our diets under normal conditions. But when we're faced with family traditions and social pressure to eat foods that don't suit us, it can be even more challenging.

It can take a bit of time - and plenty of advance planning - to figure out how best to handle things.
